Creator Lane Studios LLC ("Cradle," "we," "our") provides the Cradle baby-tracking application and related services (the "Service"). This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the controls you have. We collect the minimum data needed to operate the Service. We do not sell your data, ever.

1. What we collect

Information you give us

• Account info: email address, optional display name, language, time zone, units preference.
• Child profile: name, birthdate, optional due date, optional sex, parenting philosophy, custom wake windows.
• Activity logs: sleep, feeds (bottle, breast, formula), diapers, pumping, solids, notes, photos you attach.
• Daily check-ins (parent wellbeing): mood score 1–5 and optional follow-up answers. These are private to you and not shared with caregivers in your household.
• Caregivers and household: invitations you create, the email of people you invite.
• Website email sign-up: if you enter your email address in the sign-up box on cradlebabytracker.com, we store that address with OneSignal so we can send you product updates. We tag it only with the fact that it came from the website and which page you signed up on — nothing else, and no analytics identifier is attached to it. You are not creating a Cradle account by doing this, and the address is not joined to any app data unless you later sign in with the same email. Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link.
• Subscription and purchase data: handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) — we receive only the resulting tier (Free / Plus / Premium) via webhook, not your payment details.

Information we collect automatically

• Device + diagnostic data: app version, OS version, device model, crash reports, anonymized analytics events (Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics).
• Attribution data: install source, optional via AppsFlyer when configured. Used to measure ad effectiveness, never to identify you to third parties.
• Website analytics: when you visit cradlebabytracker.com we use Google Analytics to count page views and see which pages and referrers bring people here. It sets first-party cookies (_ga) to tell repeat visits from new ones, and records approximate location (country/region, derived from your IP address and not stored), browser and device type, and clicks on our App Store and Google Play links. This is website measurement only: it is a separate Google Analytics property from the app's, it holds no app data, and it is never joined to your Cradle account or your child's logs. Google Signals is switched off, so nothing here feeds cross-context advertising.

Information we do not collect

• Precise location (GPS).
• Contacts, calendars, microphone, camera unless you grant explicit permission for a specific feature (e.g. attaching a photo to a log).
• Browsing data outside the app.
• Health data from Apple Health or Google Fit unless you explicitly enable an integration.

2. How we use your data

• To run the Service: store your logs, sync them between caregivers in your household, and produce predictions and reports.
• To send transactional emails (sign-up confirmation, password reset).
• To send opt-in product updates (you can unsubscribe anytime).
• To diagnose crashes and improve performance via aggregated, de-identified analytics.
• To answer Lila chat questions (Premium): the chat sends your active child's recent logs along with your question to our AI provider (Anthropic) so the answer is contextual. Anthropic's policy applies to that interaction.
• To comply with legal obligations.

3. Who sees your data

• You and people you invite: caregivers you add to your household see baby data. They never see your daily mom check-in.
• Subprocessors we use:
  • Supabase (database + authentication, US)
  • Firebase Analytics + Crashlytics (Google, US) — in-app
  • Google Analytics (Google, US) — cradlebabytracker.com only
  • Anthropic (AI for Lila chat, Premium tier only, US)
  • OneSignal (push notifications, and email for website sign-ups and opt-in product updates, US)
  • AppsFlyer (install attribution, when configured)
  • Resend (transactional email)
• We never sell your data and we do not share it with third parties for advertising purposes.

4. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access and export: tap "Download my data" in You → Settings to receive a JSON file with everything we have.
• Delete: tap "Delete my account" in You → Settings → Account. This is permanent and removes all activities, household memberships, subscriptions, and your account record.
• Correct: edit any log or profile field directly in the app.
• Object / Restrict: email info@creatorlanestudios.com to object to processing or request restriction.
• Opt out of analytics: see /opt-out for instructions.
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (EU/UK).

5. Children's data (the baby's)

Cradle is intended for use by parents and caregivers about their child. The child does not interact with the app. Logs and profile data about the child are stored under the parent account and deleted when the parent account is deleted. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.

6. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. Access is gated by row-level security policies — only members of a household can read that household's data. Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth with bcrypt password hashing. We do not have access to your password.

7. Retention

We keep your data while your account is active and for up to 30 days after deletion to support backup recovery. After that, all personal data is purged. Aggregated, de-identified analytics may be retained indefinitely.

8. International transfers

Our subprocessors are based in the United States. If you access Cradle from outside the US, your data may be transferred to and processed in the US. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses where required by EU/UK law.

9. Changes to this policy

We will notify you in-app and by email at least 14 days before any material change takes effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version.
